About Us

MMINS is a Nursing School & College started its operations since 2020-21 for School and 2021-22 onwards for College with an equal intake capacity of 60 students per year for the G.N.M. as well as for the B.Sc (Bachelor of Science) Nursing Courses. MMINS is a joint venture between Maheshtala Municipality and Dishari Health point.

The conduction and operation of this course will be managed by Dishari Health Point a preofessionallly efficient health care provider well known in the field and has wide spread experience and reputation in health sector especially in West Bengal for last seventeen years.

INFRASTRUCTURE

MMINS School & College of Nursing has highly equipped 164 bedded super-Speciality parent hospital for practical training.

MMINS School & College of Nursing is functioning temporarily at Kasturi Das Memorial Super-Speciality Hospital building Mollargate, Maheshtala with a spacious class-room, most modern teaching technology and well-equipped laboratories for Fundamentals of Nursing, Community Health Nursing, Nutrition, Obstetrics Gynaecology & Paediatrics, Anatomy Physiology and Computer Science, till the alternative accommodation is ready for full-fledged operation.

An excellent and scientifically classified library with a large number of Essential Books, Periodical and Journals provides facilities to the student to do their reference and research work.

Apart from the Academic proficiency, the aim is to develop the cultural and sports talents of our student by giving them ample facilities and opportunities in those areas as well.

A team of highly qualified , well experienced and totally committed faculty members bestow their personal care and attention on the overall development of our student.

We plan to conduct seminars and competitions for the development of the students in our Auditorium.

A well-furnished, secured hostel facility is available with modern kitchen & dining facility, canteen serving timely, hygienic, nutritious & balanced diet.

We have facilities for the entertainment and relaxation of the students.

OBJECTIVES

The specific objectives of the Nurse-Midwifery track are to prepare nurses who will provide competent, safe, high-quality and culturally sensitive nursing  care to address the health needs of all.

Learn & Critically evaluate  theories, concepts, and research findings from nursing, midwifery, and related sciences for translation into clinical practice.

Use effective communication and leadership skills in interprofessional teams to promote positive change in the health care settings

Use information systems and other technologies to improve the quality and safety of health care

Apply principles of distributive justice and the social determinants of health in the evaluation of health policies and advocacy for the health  local, national, and contexts.

Evaluate care systems by analyzing the needs of consumers, health care policies, service delivery and finance models, political contexts, and health indicators to increase access to health care for all.
