It thus focuses on the cultivation of skills,trades or professions as well as mental, moral and aesthetic development.It aims the harmonious development of the physical, intellectual, social, emotional, spiritual and aesthetic powers or abilities of the student in order to render professional nursing care to people of all ages, in all phases of health and illness, in a variety of settings, in the best or highest possible manner.

Scope of nurses has increased manifold to meet the ever increasing  demand in various healthcare settings. Hospitals and other employers have stepped up recruitmentof nurses. The nursing practice has expanded  from the hospital care care setting. Nurses have more opportunities in the community, advanced practice settings, health maintenance organizations, insurance companies and home health.

MAHESHTALA Municipal Institute Of Nursing Sciences  a brainchild of Mr Dulal Das, Chairman Maheshtala Municipality & Dr S N Sharma, Director, Kasturi Das Superspeciality hospital & Dishari Health point  plan to produce a  highly skilled nursing professionals  for the Healthcare sector.
